Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Barak was a member of the CR Intrinsic-General Distressed Group, investing in work-out and special situations at SAC Capital Advisors. He has also held senior level roles in Asset Management and in Restructuring & Recapitalization at Jefferies. He began his career at in the Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey.

Roger Knight is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in advising clients in the enterprise software sector. Roger has nearly 20 years of experience in the technology industry advising infrastructure software and security clients on M&A and capital markets transactions.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Roger was a Senior Managing Director at SVB Securities. He was previously a founding member of Pacific Crest Securities’ M&A group leading up to and through Pacific Crest’s acquisition by KeyBanc Capital Markets. Before this, he held investment banking roles at Deutsche Bank, Oppenheimer and WR Hambrecht.
Roger holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. He serves as a trustee of Regis High School.

He has extensive investment banking experience, with expertise in structuring and executing a full spectrum of public and private M&A transactions, including sell-side, merger, buy-side and special committee assignment mandates across a variety of industries.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Craig was an investment banker at UBS, where he executed M&A and capital markets transactions. Craig holds a B.S.M. in Finance from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.

Arek Kurkciyan is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he advises clients across the life sciences, outsourced pharmaceutical services and pharmaceutical industries. Arek has nearly 20 years of investment banking experience advising healthcare companies and financial sponsors on important M&A and financing transactions.
Previously, Arek was a Managing Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking group at Morgan Stanley. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Arek was part of Deutsche Bank’s Healthcare Investment Banking group. Prior to Investment Banking, Arek held a number of functional roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including various sales and marketing positions at GlaxoSmithKline and HS&E Norvatis.
Arek holds a B.S. in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Larry advises on both U.S. and international transactions and has executed numerous cross-border transactions involving parties in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Larry worked in the Recapitalization & Restructuring Group at Jefferies and as a Management Consultant at Accenture. Larry holds a B.A. in Economics and History from Tufts University.

Mark has over 25 years of industry experience, having originated and executed a full spectrum of corporate finance transactions including M&A, GP-advisory, equity and debt financings across multiple industry verticals.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mark worked at Morgan Stanley in the Global Financial Sponsors Group and at Lehman Brothers in the Global Industrials Group. Earlier in his career, he held positions in investment management at Scotia Capital.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company in 2011 as a Managing Director, Patrick was the Joint Head of the Asian Industrials Group and Head of Natural Resources at UBS in Hong Kong, and held leadership roles in the UBS global mining team across multiple jurisdictions including New York and Australia.
Patrick holds Law and Science degrees from Monash University in Australia. He serves on the Board of Directors of Ivanhoe Electric, is a Managing Member of Sweetwater Royalties LLC, an Orion Resource Partners portfolio company, and Chairman of the Monash University US Leadership Council, Co-Chairman of the US Friends of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Vice Chairman of the AUS USA Foundation.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Melissa was a Managing Director at Barclays on its equity syndicate desk. She began her investment banking career as an Analyst at Lehman Brothers. Melissa holds a B.S. in Finance from The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

Ken Moelis is the Founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Moelis & Company. Ken has over 40 years of experience both as an investment banker and an executive, having served in various significant leadership roles where he has been responsible for the innovation and growth of franchises across the industry.
Prior to founding Moelis & Company, Ken was President of UBS Investment Bank and previously, Head of Corporate Finance at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Ken began his investment banking career at Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Ken holds a B.S. in Economics and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Business Council and the Business Roundtable, and currently serves on the Wharton Board of Advisors and the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Board of Advisors. He was formerly Board Chair and Director of the Tourette Association of America and served on the Board of Trustees at the University of Pennsylvania for 10 years.
