Margot Shoshan is a Managing Director and Global Head of Marketing and Communications at Moelis & Company. Margot is responsible for directing and executing the strategic vision of the function through public relations, marketing and executive and corporate communications. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry serving as a strategic business partner and senior adviser across operational functions including marketing and communications, investor relations and human capital management.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Margot was a Senior Auditor at Deloitte. She holds a B.B.A. with Honors in Accounting from Emory University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Georgia.

Joe Simon is the Chief Financial Officer at Moelis & Company. He has over 25 years of experience as a senior manager of financial controls, operations and strategy specializing in financial services firms.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Joe served as CFO at Financial Security Assurance, where he engineered the treasury and accounting areas to enhance the firm’s financial planning and analysis, allocation of capital and transparency of financial reporting. He also led several financing transactions for the firm.
Prior to Financial Security Assurance, Joe was the CFO, Global Controller and Global Head of Operations at Cantor Fitzgerald, where he managed a global accounting and operations team and established the firm’s treasury function. Before joining Cantor Fitzgerald, he was a Principal and Vice President of Fixed Income Product Control at Morgan Stanley. Joe has also served as CFO of IntraLinks and TENTV.com. He began his career at Price Waterhouse.
Joe holds a B.S. from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from The University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Greg Starkins is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in advising industrial companies across the aerospace and defense and multi-industry sectors. Greg has over 25 years of investment banking experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions, as well as shareholder advisory and activist defense situations.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Greg led advisory efforts across the Diversified Industrials, Capital Goods and Services sectors, as well as for the Global Aerospace and Defense sector at Deutsche Bank. Before that, Greg was a member of the M&A team at Merrill Lynch and also coordinated Merrill’s Global Aerospace and Defense advisory practice.
Greg began his career as a M&A lawyer at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Organizational Behavior/Management from Brown University and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Adam Steinberg is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he advises various parties in all manner of Capital Structure Advisory assignments. He has over 20 years of investment banking and asset management experience, including advising clients on M&A, financing, and restructuring transactions across a wide range of industries.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Adam worked at Lonestar Capital Management where he invested in work-out and special situations. Prior to that he was a Vice President in the Restructuring & Recapitalization group at Jefferies.
Adam holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan.

Andrew Swift is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in Capital Structure Advisory and M&A. Andrew has extensive investment banking experience advising corporates, acquirers and creditors across a broad range of industries and geographies. He has executed a variety of in-court and out-of-court restructuring transactions, with an emphasis on debtor-side engagements, exchange offers, consent solicitations, lender negotiations, distressed financings, and S. 363 sales. Andrew has also advised public and private companies across a variety of complex M&A transactions, including cross-border hostile takeovers, activism defense, MoEs, and leveraged buyouts.
Andrew started his career at Moelis and holds a B.A. in History with honors from the University of Michigan.

Brian Tichenor is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in M&A Advisory across a broad range of industries and has experience executing public and private buy-side, sell-side and capital markets assignments.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Brian held roles in the Financial Institutions Group at Citi and in the Treasury Division at State Street Bank & Trust. Brian holds a B.S. in Business Management from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and an M.B.A. from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

Carl Torrillo is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in advising clients in the industrials sector. Carl has advised a wide range of industrial companies across the capital goods, diversified manufacturing, and fire, safety and security sectors, on a variety of corporate finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital raises, restructurings, recapitalizations and leveraged buyouts.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Carl held roles at Nomura in the Industrials Investment Banking Group and at Citi in the Global Industrials Group. He also co-founded and served as CFO of ACE Portal, which provided transaction management and marketing tools in support of private capital formation. Carl holds a B.S. from Cornell University.

Osamu Watanabe is General Counsel at Moelis & Company where he leads the Firm’s legal and compliance department.
Prior to Moelis & Company, Osamu was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Sagent Advisors. Prior to that, he held senior positions at UBS, Credit Suisse First Boston and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Osamu started his career in private practice at Sullivan & Cromwell, working in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Melbourne. He also clerked for the Honorable Morey L. Sear, Eastern District of Louisiana.
Osamu holds a B.A. in History from Antioch College and a J.D. from Yale Law School.

Angus Whelchel is a Managing Director and Head of Private Capital Markets at Moelis & Company, focusing on the Firm’s public and private market origination and distribution capabilities. Angus has more than 20 years of investment banking experience working with clients across all industries and has helped raise over $200bn of private capital globally across debt and equity.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Angus served as Global Head of Private Capital Markets in New York and Head of Private Capital Markets for EMEA in London at Barclays. Earlier in his career, Angus held positions in the Private Placement market at Lehman Brothers and GE Capital.
Angus holds a B.A. in Finance from the University of Vermont and an M.B.A from the College of William and Mary. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Shlomo Yanai is a Senior Advisor at Moelis & Company. Shlomo most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd from 2007 to 2012. Prior to Teva, he served four years as the Chief Executive Officer and President of ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd. During his nearly 15 years as a corporate executive, Shlomo has successfully completed over 20 acquisitions and integrations. Shlomo currently holds board positions at a number of companies and organizations including his role as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and member of the Governance and Compensation Committees at Cambrex, Director of Perrigo Public Limited Company, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Protalix BioTherapeutics.
Shlomo holds a B.A. degree in Political Science and Economics from Tel Aviv University and an M.P.A in National Resources Management from the George Washington University. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School and U.S. National War College (NDU).

Irene Zhang is a Managing Director and Global Head of Tax at Moelis & Company. Irene oversees the Firm’s global tax strategies and operations and is responsible for tax planning, reporting and compliance. Irene has over 20 years of experience as a senior tax advisor and strategic business partner to financial services firms and alternative asset management businesses.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Irene was with Ernst & Young’s M&A transaction tax practice where she advised private equity sponsors and corporate strategic investors on a variety of transactions, including M&A, divestitures, restructuring, fund formation and cross-border planning. She began her career in Deloitte & Touche’s Private Client Advisor group where she advised asset management funds and their general partners on tax reporting and planning.
Irene holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a M.S. in Taxation, both from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
