Carlos Jimenez is a Managing Director and Global Head of Media, Sports and Entertainment at Moelis & Company. Carlos has over 20 years of investment banking experience and has completed numerous high-profile M&A transactions, debt and equity financings, IPOs, leveraged buyouts and restructurings.

Carlos is a trusted advisor to players within the Hollywood ecosystem and is perennially recognized as a top dealmaker by the Hollywood Reporter. Additionally, his significant experience consummating transactions extends across music, sports, live events, gaming, digital media, technology and various adjacent sectors.  In 2024, Carlos was named to Variety’s Dealmakers list, which recognizes the leaders behind the most impactful entertainment deals of the year, as well as Variety500, an annual list of the 500 most influential leaders shaping the global media industry.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Carlos worked in the Leveraged Finance Group at Lehman Brothers. Carlos holds a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.
