Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Costas Kalisperas as a Managing Director providing financial and strategic advice to retail clients. Mr. Kalisperas will join the Firm in October and will be based in London.

Mr. Kalisperas will join Moelis & Company with over 20 years of corporate finance and advisory experience working with retail companies globally. Most recently, Mr. Kalisperas served as a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Consumer Retail Group for EMEA at Barclays. Previously, Mr. Kalisperas was a Director on the Consumer & Retail teams at both Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse.

Moelis & Company to Appoint Antje Gaensler as a Managing Director, Expanding its Capital Structure Advisory Franchise in Europe

Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced that Antje Gaensler will join the Firm in June as a Managing Director, expanding the Firm’s Capital Structure Advisory franchise in Europe. She will be based in London and will provide strategic and financial advice to clients with a focus on German-speaking regions.

Antje has more than 10 years of capital structure and restructuring experience advising both debtors and creditors. She joins from Lazard where she advised clients across EMEA on capital structure and restructuring situations. Prior to that, she worked at Gleacher Shacklock LLP where she also advised on complex restructurings and previously worked on financial turnarounds of portfolio companies at a European family office. Antje started her career as a structured finance attorney at Linklaters LLP.

Chrystalle will be a senior member of the Firm’s Private Funds Advisory (PFA) team and will lead the advisory and management of PFA’s global fundraises.

Based in New York, Chrystalle brings over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry where she has worked with managers across all asset classes, including private equity, private credit, real estate, and natural resources. She joins from Sound Mark Partners where she was the Head of Capital Formation and Co-Chief Operating Officer. She previously held several leadership roles at Eaton Partners including Head of Direct Investments and Co-Head of Private Credit. Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced that Vincent Ragosta has been appointed as a Managing Director, providing capital raising and other independent advisory services to private fund sponsors and limited partners. He will join the Firm’s New York headquarters next week.

Vincent joins from Campbell Lutyens where he served as a Managing Director on the North American fund placement team. Previously he held roles at UBS Investment Bank, SMBC Nikko Securities America and Shumway Capital Partners.

Moelis & Company Announces the Appointment of Tim Fitzsimmons as a Managing Director in the Private Funds Advisory Business

Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Tim Fitzsimmons as a Managing Director in the Private Funds Advisory business providing capital raising, secondary and other independent advisory services to private fund sponsors and limited partners. Mr. Fitzsimmons will join the Firm in August and will be based in New York.

In addition to the appointment, Moelis & Company also announced the final closing for Valor Equity Partners III, L.P., which was 40 percent over-subscribed. Valor Equity Partners III provides flexible capital to non-cyclical growth companies in the consumer, infrastructure/industrial services and manufacturing sectors. The fund initially targeted $350 million and closed with $490 million in committed capital, signaling significant interest from a premier group of institutional investors and family offices.

Mr. Fitzsimmons will join Moelis & Company with more than 15 years of investment banking experience, having previously worked in Credit Suisse’s Private Funds Group marketing private market investment opportunities across a number of strategies including buyout, growth, private debt and real assets. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Fitzsimmons spent four years in Citigroup’s Global Loan Capital Markets and Investment Banking groups.

Skip brings over 16 years of M&A, secondary advisory and private equity investment experience.  He joins from UBS Global Wealth Management where he recently served as Head of Private Equity Co-Investments and Secondaries and as Head of Discretionary Multi-Vintage Private Equity. Skip previously led UBS Investment Banks’ EMEA Secondary Advisory business. He started his career in M&A investment banking in Frankfurt.

Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced that Marcus Lollie has joined the Firm as a Managing Director in its Media group, based in Los Angeles.

Marcus joins from the Canon Media Group, an operationally focused investment firm, where he developed and oversaw the media, entertainment and tech practice as a Co-Founder and Managing Partner. He previously spent nearly two decades in the Private Fund Group at Credit Suisse and Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) where he focused on providing capital solutions to private equity and other alternative asset managers.

Mr. Shaw has nearly 20 years of oil and gas investment banking experience. He was most recently a Managing Director at Barclays focused on major oil, national oil, exploration and production, and utility clients. Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Laila J. Worrell to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2023.

Ms. Worrell has served as CEO of Altran Americas, now known as Capgemini Engineering, and previously as COO and CEO of KKR-owned Aricent. She has been an operating executive and senior advisor to some of the largest private equity investors in the world. Most recently, she was appointed an Executive Fellow at Harvard Business School and leads HBR Global as CEO. Previously, she spent nearly 20 years in management consulting, holding numerous leadership roles at Accenture and Boston Consulting Group.

Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Chris Roberts as a Managing Director providing equity capital markets advice to clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He will join the Firm’s London office in June and will lead the ongoing build-out of Moelis & Company’s Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Advisory business alongside Managing Director Alex Hageman.

Mr. Roberts will join after 11 years at J.P. Morgan where he was most recently a Managing Director and Head of EMEA Equity Capital Markets Execution in London. In addition to advising clients through IPOs, follow-on offerings, private placements and other equity-related transactions in EMEA, Mr. Roberts also served as the Head of Equity Execution for J.P. Morgan’s Tech, Media, and Telecom ECM franchise in San Francisco. He started his banking career as a Vice President in Morgan Stanley’s Capital Markets Structuring Group in London. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Roberts was a lawyer for eight years in the London offices of Slaughter and May and Latham and Watkins.

Moelis & Company today announced Roger Wood, a senior advisor to power and infrastructure companies globally, has joined the firm as a Managing Director in the firm’s headquarters in New York. Mr. Wood joins from Rothschild where he was Head of North American Utilities and Infrastructure and Global Co-Head of both Utilities and Infrastructure. He will focus on providing senior level advisory services to companies in the power, infrastructure and related energy sectors.

Stephen Aulsebrook to Join Moelis & Company as Managing Director in the London Office

Moelis & Company today announced Stephen Aulsebrook will join the firm on 27 September as a Managing Director. He will be based in the firm’s London office and will provide senior level financial restructuring and other corporate finance advisory services to clients principally in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Mr. Aulsebrook is one of the most experienced investment bankers currently working in European financial restructuring and will complement Moelis & Company’s strong position in this market. He also has extensive mergers and acquisitions and broader corporate finance advisory experience gained in a career spanning nearly 30 years in European investment banking.

He has built an extensive network of relationships in Europe, the US, Asia and the Middle East across leading corporations, banks, hedge funds, other principal funds and private equity investors through his work on mergers and acquisitions and financial restructuring transactions.

Landon Parsons Joins Moelis & Company as Senior Advisor in Risk Advisory

Moelis & Company today named Landon D. Parsons a Senior Advisor in the firm’s Risk Advisory Group. He will be based in New York serving clients globally as they manage their financial assets and key position and portfolio risks. Mr. Parsons has nearly 25 years of structured credit experience as an analyst, investor and advisor. He has worked as a consultant to Moelis & Company since January 2010.

Previously, Mr. Parsons was a member of the Mortgage Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs. He joined Goldman in 2008 after seven years at C-BASS, an affiliate of Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation and Radian, where he was a Managing Director responsible for investing and managing structured products in non-agency and subprime RMBS, CMBS and ABS. He developed and managed the $10 billion C-BASS CBO program. Mr. Parsons also served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Structured Finance for CGA Investment Management and as a Senior Business Development Manager at Financial Guaranty Insurance Company. Prior to this, he held positions at Credit Lyonnais, Capital Markets Assurance Corporation and Citicorp.

Moelis & Company Announces the Appointment of Zhang Xiuping as Managing Director and Head of Asia M&A

Moelis & Company, the global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Zhang Xiuping as Managing Director and Head of Asia M&A. She will be responsible for deal origination and providing strategic advice to regional and global clients with a focus on cross-border M&A into and out of China, working in close co-operation with the Moelis Beijing office. She will be based in Hong Kong.

With more than 15 years of investment banking experience, Ms. Zhang joins Moelis & Company from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where she was most recently Managing Director and Head of Asia M&A. Previously, she was Managing Director and Head of China M&A at Deutsche Bank.  She started her banking career with JP Morgan in New York in 1997.

Ms. Zhang has extensive experience advising Asian, European and American clients on cross-border M&A transactions, and has advised on numerous public take-over deals in Australia, Canada, Norway, Singapore and Hong Kong as well as private joint venture deals for targets in Chile, Brazil, the U.S., Canada, Africa and China. In the past two years, she has led teams that executed many of the take-private deals for US-listed Chinese companies.

Hervé Malausséna to Join Moelis & Company as Managing Director in London Office

Moelis & Company today announced Hervé Malausséna will join the firm in August as a Managing Director. He will be based in the firm’s London office and will provide senior level advice to clients principally in the Telecommunications sector in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Mr. Malausséna has almost 20 years of investment banking experience and was most recently a Managing Director and Head of EMEA Telecommunications Investment Banking at Citigroup in London.

Mr. Malausséna worked at Citigroup and predecessors Salomon Smith Barney and Citicorp for 17 years, and in his most recent role was the senior banker responsible for the origination and execution of investment banking transactions for some of the largest telecommunications clients in the EMEA region. As the lead industry banker he provided industry and deal expertise for high-profile strategic M&A transactions and equity and debt offerings as well as structured and advised on leveraged buyouts. He also led the firm’s European Cable and Towers investment banking team and was responsible for related coverage of corporate clients and well as private equity firms.

Mr. Malausséna previously worked as Head of Latin America Telecommunications and Media Investment Banking at Citigroup in New York, where he worked with global and regional companies in the sector on structuring, managing and executing cross-border M&A transactions, as well as on advising on debt and equity capital markets issuance. Prior to that, he worked in the Leveraged Finance Group of Citigroup in London and also for Banque Indosuez in sales and trading in Paris and Tokyo.
